N is for Naartjie

Its no secret that I love Naartjie, Ladybug practically lives in Naartjie on the weekends (There’s no ways Im letting her wreck her Naartjie clothes at School!)  So when I saw what Naartjie are doing I had to share it with you.

Naartjie Kids charity arm, the Naartjie Love Foundation, will once again host a countrywide clothing drive from 10 April – 15 June 2014, where people are “rewarded” with a 5% discount voucher for every item of wearable children’s clothing that they donate.

Two years ago the Naartjie Love Foundation launched their first clothing drive with the aim of collecting enough items of clothing for the 8000 kids from the desperate community of Blikkiesdorp in the Cape Flats.  Thanks to the generosity of their customers and fans alike they were able to hand over no less than 18500 pieces of clothing to the desperate community.  This year, they hope to bring this kind of relief to another deserving children’s charity.

People wishing to donate are asked to drop off any pieces of used children’s clothing – it does not have to be Naartjie Kids, just in wearable condition, to any of their stores, where they have a bin designed for this purpose.  For every piece of clothing that is donated, a 5% discount voucher will be issued.  Sounds like a win win to us.
